Our School Counseling program, certified by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, equips future school counselors to serve diverse ethnic and racial communities in New York City schools. Taking a comprehensive, social justice-focused perspective, trainees cultivate essential abilities to support students' emotional, academic, and professional development. Alumni collaborate with all school stakeholders—including families, educators, administrators, pupils, and local groups—to create more inclusive, compassionate learning spaces that encourage continuous personal and educational advancement. The program also features a bilingual counseling concentration, offering extra preparation for multilingual candidates to assist English-language learners.
