The 36-credit Master of Music in Performance is designed for aspiring professional musicians and vocalists. Central to this program are weekly one-on-one lessons over four semesters with our world-renowned faculty. These private sessions are complemented by performance experiences in the Conservatory's ensembles and student recitals, featuring annual opera productions along with frequent orchestral, chamber, and contemporary ensemble performances. The curriculum also requires at least three graduate seminars covering stylistic analysis, historical musicology, and theoretical studies. Exceptional performers not yet qualifying for full admission may apply for the Advanced Certificate in Music Performance as an alternative pathway.
Students must have a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (B) on a 4.00 scale in your undergraduate major and a 2.70 overall and sufficient undergraduate course work to do graduate work in your chosen program.
The minimum language requirements for undergraduate programs are 61 (TOEFL-IBT) and 6.0 (IELTS).
