The School of Social Work provides one graduate program: a Master of Social Work (MSW). This program centers on clinical practice and research training for family and child services. Students can choose between two specialized tracks: Clinical Practice or Research, with 40 new students accepted annually. Clinical Track: This path develops skilled practitioners with expertise in direct client care. Graduates often pursue careers in mental health services, obtain LCSW certification, and advance to leadership roles in social service agencies. Research Track: Designed for future scholars, this option prepares students for doctoral studies through additional research coursework across disciplines and requires submitting publishable research. Research track alumni typically enter academia, policy development, or pursue further clinical specialization.
