The Portuguese Pedagogy M.A. program aims to equip graduate students with advanced teaching expertise in Portuguese, building upon their undergraduate foundation to excel as educators or pursue doctoral studies in foreign language education. Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Portuguese or other subject. If in another subject, you must have Portuguese courses equal to our Portuguese minor. Additional information may be obtained from the section heads of Linguistics, Literature and Pedagogy or from the graduate coordinator.
IELTS - Overall minimum band score of 7.0 (consisting of minimum band scores of 6.0 in each module)
TOEFL (paper based test) - 580
TOEFL iBT (internet based test) - Minimum subscores of 22 (Speaking) and 21 (Listening, Reading, & Writing respectively) comprising an overall score at least 85.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.3
Minimum GPA in Spanish or Portuguese: 3.5
Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
Minimum score of 3.5 on Analytical Writing section
