Qualification Requirements
Applicants to the graduate program in Russian must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent a GPA of B or higher on the last 60 hours of the undergraduate course of study and an undergraduate major in Russian or the equivalent Applicants must also have excellent language skills in both Russian and English The department reserves the right to evaluate the work presented for admission and to determine how the student may make up for any background deficiencies
Two letters of recommendation from college or universitylevel instructors
One transcript from each colleges or universities you have attended As part of the application submission process all applicants are required to upload unofficial copies of all postsecondary transcripts to the online application Official transcripts are only required if accepted by the academic program
Official Results of English Proficiency Exams International applicants only
Statement of Interest approximately 500 words addressing the following questions
What draws you to the program and the subject matter we teach
What specific background do you have that prepares you for our program
How does our program fit in with your larger plans or goals for further academic study and or career
Resume or CV
Have earned a qualifying bachelors degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
Have earned at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework required for applicants with less than a graduate certificate graduate degree or professional degree.
TOEFL Internet-based - 80 Overall - Reading - 17, Listening - 17, Speaking - 17, Writing - 17.
IELTS Academic - 6.5 Overall - Reading - 6, Listening - 6, Speaking - 6, Writing - 6.
PTE - 59.
