Our Linguistics MA program is designed to equip students for careers as language experts, progression to doctoral studies, or professional roles requiring linguistic expertise.
This two-year program starts in the fall, with students consulting their advisor to structure their 33-credit curriculum. We advise focusing studies in one of four specializations: computational linguistics, language learning, sociolinguistics, or general linguistics. The program culminates with students making an academic contribution through researching, defending, and publishing a thesis.
