Our department specializes in diverse areas of applied linguistics, concentrating on language education and research for post-secondary and adult learners. Faculty members have expertise across various fields such as second language acquisition, sociolinguistics, writing instruction, language testing, corpus studies, digital learning tools, and teacher training. To obtain an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, students must successfully complete at least 36 credit hours of coursework.
