The Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art is a 30-credit program building upon the M.A. (totaling 60 credits) that enhances your artistic abilities and viewpoints. Recognized by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), this program equips you with the qualifications necessary for university-level teaching.
Students holding an M.A. with 30 transferable credits from accredited institutions may enter directly into our BU M.F.A. program, provided their previous coursework aligns with BU's M.A. curriculum and continues their graduate specialization.

With studio specializations ranging from drawing and painting to sculpture and visual communication, you'll find abundant chances to showcase your work at regional and national events.
