Our elementary education program equips you for the Illinois Professional Educator's License in Elementary Education, enabling you to teach grades 1 through 6. The program incorporates an English as a Second Language endorsement, qualifying you to instruct English Language Learners.
Starting your first year, you'll engage in classroom field experiences, with further opportunities during sophomore and junior years. These prepare you for the culminating student teaching experience in your senior year. Throughout this journey, Bradley faculty and supervising teachers provide invaluable mentorship.
Notably, Bradley pioneered embedding the ESL endorsement in early childhood, elementary, middle school, and special education degrees among Illinois universities. This advantage increases your marketability to school districts, especially as English Language Learners represent one of Illinois' most rapidly expanding student populations.
