Choosing the Special Education K-12 Learning Disabilities Endorsement - Elementary Major allows you to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree, qualifying you for an elementary education teaching certification with a Learning Disabilities (SM) endorsement. This Michigan Department of Education certification enables you to instruct students with learning disabilities across K-12 settings. Additionally, you'll be qualified to teach all subjects in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as in self-contained sixth to eighth grade classrooms. Throughout this program, you'll have access to the full range of resources provided by the College of Education, including academic advising, scholarship opportunities, and involvement in activities within both the Special Education department (your primary academic home) and the Department of Teacher Education.
