The cell and molecular biology concentration delves into cellular and molecular structures to provide insight into how organisms are built and function. You'll deepen your knowledge through specialized courses covering cell biology, microbiology, immunology, neurophysiology, and comparative physiology. Starting with research methodology in your first year, you'll progressively enhance these skills via laboratory work, independent studies, and summer research projects.
Upon completing your degree, you may have gained:
Personalized guidance from faculty specializing in cellular and molecular biology
Chances to present your findings at academic conferences and in publications
A culminating senior research project
Professional growth and networking through participation in Tri-Beta honor society and the Biology Undergraduate Society
