This 48-month integrated program in fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics equips participants with clinical expertise and thorough understanding of diagnosing, treatment planning, restoring, and maintaining oral function, comfort, aesthetics, and health for patients with missing or damaged teeth and orofacial abnormalities through biocompatible replacements. The program combines classroom learning and hands-on training in complete dentures, removable partial dentures, fixed prosthodontics, implant dentistry (including surgical procedures), geriatric care, TMJ disorders, and maxillofacial prosthetics, with strong focus on both theoretical foundations and practical skills.
Special attention is given to maintaining patients' periodontal health and collaborating with other dental specialties to ensure comprehensive care. This multidisciplinary approach is facilitated through joint seminars with other specialty programs and coordinated treatment strategies.
An essential component involves rigorous, structured reading assignments and literature review sessions, which familiarize students with core prosthodontic concepts, evidence-based practice, and critical analysis of dental research publications.
