The Master of Sacred Theology (STM) is an advanced professional graduate degree designed for individuals seeking deeper study in a specific theological discipline or enhanced skills for ministerial and religious leadership roles. This program does not serve as a prerequisite for doctoral studies. Candidates must possess an initial graduate degree in theology, religious studies, or a related field suitable for advanced theological education, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Key learning objectives for the STM include:
For Theological Studies track students: developing specialized expertise in one theological discipline and demonstrating ability to perform independent research in that field.
For Religious Leadership track students: achieving advanced proficiency in a focused area of ministerial or religious leadership practice, along with enhanced skills in merging theological concepts with practical application.
Full-time STM candidates must finish the program within two semesters. All students must complete degree requirements within two years (four semesters) from their initial enrollment term.
