Our Juris Doctor program blends a challenging academic curriculum with hands-on training in essential legal skills. The BU Law JD degree requires completion of 85 credits through our full-time program spanning three academic years.

Students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 in second-year courses and seminars and a cumulative GPA of 2.3 at the end of the second year Students must earn a final average of at least 2.3 to graduate and they may not fail more than 5 units after the first year
To apply for admission to the JD program you must -

Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university or be enrolled in a course of study that will result in the award of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university before you commence study at BU Law
Have taken the Law School Admission Test LSAT within the past five years
Register with the Law School Admission Council Credential Assembly Service CAS
Transcripts Submit your transcripts through LSACs Credential Assembly Service
Standardized Tests Test scores are required from the Law School Admission Test LSAT
Letters of Recommendation Submit at least two letters of recommendation through the LSAC Letter of Recommendation Service
