Participants put academic learning into practice via community engagement, service projects, and social interactions. Learners explore career options, acquire job-ready skills, enhance social abilities, and undertake internships matching their professional aspirations.
Standing apart from similar offerings nationwide, Bellevue College's Occupational & Life Skills (OLS) program offers an accredited degree specifically designed for adults with learning challenges. Our distinctive supportive environment helps students chart career paths, improve social competencies, form meaningful connections, and develop valuable employment skills. OLS provides structured guidance to help graduates secure meaningful employment and become active community members.
Every OLS participant undertakes a supervised internship arranged by our dedicated coordinator. Students fulfill 264 hours of work experience over six months in their selected career field.
