Madonna's Deaf Community Studies program immerses students in Michigan's vibrant Deaf cultural education. As Michigan's sole university offering a bachelor's degree in Deaf Community Studies, Madonna stands as the premier choice in this specialized field. Established in 1975, Madonna University's Sign Language Studies (SLS) department pioneered one of the nation's first bachelor's degree programs in this discipline. Current high school students and high school graduates who have not enrolled in a post-secondary institution after high school apply to Madonna as a freshman.
