The Recreation and Leisure Services major is designed for students pursuing careers in recreational fields. The RLS program delivers essential business and programming courses for various leisure service professions while establishing a versatile foundation for diverse recreation careers. Students can select between two specialized tracks: outdoor recreation or church recreation. The outdoor recreation concentration focuses on adventure-based activities, environmental education, and managing parks and protected areas. Meanwhile, the church recreation specialization trains students to utilize recreational activities for religious outreach. Both pathways equip graduates for employment opportunities throughout the recreation industry, including public parks, tourism companies, sports organizations, and state/national park systems.
