Educational Psychology programs examine the connections between learning experiences and psychological principles. Our curriculum is designed to advance the discipline through scholarly inquiry, professional development, policy advocacy, and ensuring fair access to high-quality education. We specialize in four key areas: Educational Psychology (covering topics like learning processes, motivation, and cognitive growth), School Psychology (including student evaluation, diagnosis, and support services), Research Methods and Quantitative Psychology (focusing on sophisticated data analysis techniques, research methodologies, and program assessment), and School Counseling (encompassing preventative systems, counseling services, and career preparation).At Ball State, you can earn your educational psychology degree through our on-campus programs. Our PhD in educational psychology serves as an excellent career progression for graduates in education, psychology, social work, or related human development fields. For those pursuing research careers in educational psychology or adjacent areas, our doctoral program provides strong preparation for roles in academic research, evaluation, or teaching.
You must have a bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association.

Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Students in our program begin courses in the Fall Semester.
