The undergraduate exercise science program equips you for starting roles in fitness and exercise careers, or for advanced studies in exercise science and related health fields. Our curriculum may also help you qualify for relevant professional certifications. Admission to the exercise science major requires successful completion of the pre-exercise science requirements. The program features foundational courses in exercise science and physical education, along with complementary studies in chemistry, biology, health science, and physiology. Furthermore, it provides a strong foundation for pursuing advanced education in medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant programs, or graduate studies in exercise science. Full-time students typically complete the degree in four years, while part-time students' timelines may differ. We recommend consulting with your academic advisor to discuss your course load and degree completion objectives.
