Our university provides the nation's most extensive aquatic sciences degree program. Founded in 2002, this aquatic-focused curriculum was the pioneering program of its kind in the U.S. The comprehensive coursework equips students for rewarding careers as aquatic directors, fitness instructors, coaches, and numerous other professional paths. Students can choose from a wide array of electives, such as sailing and kayaking, dive instruction, synchronized swimming coaching, scuba certification training, and waterfront management for camps. Additional certification options include emergency medical response, scuba diving, aquatic education, and facility operations. Graduates with an aquatic sciences degree qualify for positions at diverse organizations, including schools, wellness centers, recreational aquatic facilities, water parks, private clubs, gyms, and government agencies.
