Pursue a biology major to build a foundation in chemical, mathematical, and physical sciences while gaining comprehensive knowledge across biological disciplines. UCF's Bachelor of Science in Biology program offers flexibility to follow a general biology path or specialize in one of five focused tracks. With guidance from faculty advisors, you can tailor electives to explore niche fields like molecular biology, conservation biology, or marine biology. This program also serves as excellent preparation for advanced studies in human or veterinary medicine and related professional fields.

The curriculum fosters critical thinking abilities and provides exposure to diverse scientific concepts from multiple biology specialties. You'll acquire essential scientific competencies including hypothesis formulation, experimental methodology, scientific literature analysis, data interpretation, and specialized lab or field techniques. Furthermore, independent study opportunities enable hands-on learning and deeper exploration of specialized subjects outside traditional coursework.
