We are committed to empowering the next wave of business leaders with a deep understanding of financial market dynamics and risk management. Our department provides two specialized career tracks, both designed to equip you with essential skills and practical experience for success in today's intricate global economy. As an undergraduate in our program, you'll gain credits toward Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) certifications. Our program leads the nation in producing University Associate Certified Risk Manager (UACRM) designees. Students also explore careers in life/health insurance, employee benefits, and financial planning. You'll participate in annual industry events like the Chicagoland Risk Forum (formerly REBEX), Surplus Lines Forum, Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana Convention, and RIMS Annual Conference. Key focus areas include: assessing individual and business risks, evaluating insurable versus uninsurable exposures, developing risk mitigation strategies, mastering life/health and property/casualty insurance principles, and managing insurer operations.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
