The Risk Management and Insurance program equips students for a fulfilling professional path. This curriculum trains individuals to recognize, assess, and control financial and operational risks present in both personal and corporate environments.
The program readies graduates for careers in three primary fields. One path leads to insurance company roles, developing and maintaining coverage solutions for clients and organizations. Another focuses on corporate risk management, where professionals forecast potential threats and implement protective strategies. The third pathway involves insurance brokerage, centered on marketing and supporting insurance offerings.
Those pursuing this specialization can qualify for Ohio's property/casualty and life/health insurance licensing tests. Additionally, they may obtain the University Associate Certified Insurance Counselor (UACIC) professional certification.
