This program provides a comprehensive curriculum in applied mathematics, equipping students for careers in actuarial science. Most actuaries traditionally find employment in the insurance sector, though growing opportunities exist across financial services like banking and investment management. Government agencies and private corporations also hire actuaries. In North America, professionals earn actuarial credentials by completing rigorous exams from the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). Many students start taking these exams during their undergraduate studies. The program aligns its coursework with Exams P, FM, and LTAM requirements and includes specialized prep seminars for Exams P and FM. Students must also fulfill the VEE requirement through approved academic coursework.
