Protecting our planet's natural assets. Enhancing ecological conditions. Creating a more secure and sustainable world for all. If these goals resonate with you, Ball State's natural resources and environmental management (NREM) program can turn your values into a meaningful profession. Whether you're an adventure enthusiast who thrives in nature or a science-minded individual eager to tackle environmental challenges, our NREM degree will guide you toward your purpose. You'll learn to mobilize communities for conservation efforts and translate academic concepts into tangible solutions. Upon graduation, you'll be ready to launch directly into rewarding environmental careers across private companies, government agencies at all levels, and nonprofit organizations. The program also provides strong foundations for advanced studies. The Natural Resources and Environmental Management department features two specialized tracks, giving students essential expertise for careers in either natural resources or environmental sectors.
