Our Life Science Education program equips you to instruct students in grades 5-12. While specializing in life sciences, graduates are also certified to teach general middle school science. We additionally provide a Middle School Education track for those focusing on broader science instruction at that level. Gain comprehensive knowledge of biological sciences through classes covering anatomy, plant biology, chemistry, ecosystems, microbiology, and related fields
Undertake professional educator training that examines education's historical context, societal impacts, and theoretical frameworks
Learn to address the distinctive educational requirements of diverse adolescent learners through specialized classes in science pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching
Participate in student teaching placements at local schools to develop hands-on classroom experience
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
