Provides initial certification for teaching grades 1-6 in New York State. After earning the BS.Ed degree, you'll receive initial certification to teach elementary grades in New York.
Starting their first semester, students gain hands-on experience working with children from underserved communities across New York City and Long Island.
Our program offers continuous guidance on meeting certification and academic requirements throughout students' enrollment.
Ambitious students may enroll in honors-level education courses and collaborate with renowned faculty on research initiatives.
Study abroad options are available, including an immersive semester program in Rome.
Additionally, students can select from various 5-year and pathway programs that offer dual certification opportunities.

Official academic records and/or official certificates/results from the Ministry of Education or secondary school in original language with official English translation.
Official examination results (if taken) from the examining board (i.e., International Baccalaureate, General Certificate of Education, Caribbean Examinations Council, West African Examinations Council).
