The Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Resource Management equips students with essential scientific, engineering, regulatory, and managerial expertise for careers in industry, government, or NGOs, with a focus on safeguarding engineered and natural ecosystems while minimizing industrial environmental impacts.
The program blends rigorous coursework in chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics with comprehensive training in environmental law, policy, engineering, and management. Students gain hands-on experience applying environmental technologies to systems like water treatment facilities, waste management operations, and air pollution control for industrial and mobile sources. The curriculum covers OSHA, EPA, and DOT health and safety regulations, along with protective measures for hazardous work environments. Both U.S. environmental legislation and global environmental challenges are examined.
An accelerated dual-degree pathway allows qualified students to apply up to 12 undergraduate credits toward the 30-credit Master's in Environmental and Resource Management. This option requires a separate application process.
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program participants at the Polytechnic campus may qualify for reduced nonresident tuition—150% of Arizona resident rates plus fees. Students from eligible Western states should review the WUE program link for specific criteria and application details.
