Pursuing an environmental science degree equips you with scientific knowledge to address diverse ecological challenges, covering subjects like statistics, biology, geology, and environmental studies. Students select one of five specialized tracks within the program, allowing them to explore elective courses aligned with their environmental interests and professional aspirations. Each specialization combines interdisciplinary coursework from the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources and the College of Science. Some tracks may also incorporate economics, policy, or engineering classes based on their specific focus.

To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
