The BA in journalism and mass communication at ASU's Walter Cronkite School, recognized as one of the top media schools in the country, offers a professional, hands-on curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in mass media.
With guidance from an esteemed faculty of journalists, communicators, and scholars—along with prestigious internships and immersive experiences—undergraduates learn the core values of media professions while developing the specialized digital skills needed in today's evolving landscape.
Study areas may cover digital media, broadcast journalism, innovation, audience engagement, social media, investigative reporting, public relations, and Spanish-language media. The Cronkite School's immersive capstone programs provide real-world experience, such as producing evening news for Arizona PBS or developing digital ad campaigns.
Top-performing students may qualify for the accelerated master's program, enabling them to earn both bachelor's and master's degrees in as little as four years. They can also join ASU's Barrett, The Honors College.
