The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism prepares students for news reporting across radio, television, and digital platforms. This curriculum covers fundamental journalism principles including legal considerations and ethical standards before transitioning to practical experience. Students develop skills in writing, reporting, verification, filming, production, and editing to create substantive news pieces for both traditional broadcasts and online platforms, resulting in professional-grade work samples for job applications. Additional coursework in emerging technologies like aerial cinematography or application programming helps students stay competitive in this dynamic industry. The program mandates either a secondary major or minor in a focused discipline such as government studies, theology, or regional studies of the Middle East.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA and entry requirements vary from country to country. International applicants whose primary language is not English, or who attended school in a non-English speaking country, regardless of citizenship, must prove English proficiency. English proficiency may be proven by one or more of the following:
