We are deeply committed to providing exceptional educational opportunities for all students. The MA in Special Education program features flexible full-time and part-time options to accommodate work and family commitments, available both in-person and fully online starting Fall 2024. No prior teaching experience is required, and the program qualifies graduates for licensure in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, with recognition in more than 40 states. It equips educators to support preschool through adult learners who face learning challenges, offering hands-on diagnostic-prescriptive instruction training grounded in the Sally L. Smith Methodology's theoretical foundation - achieving a perfect job placement record.

Our alumni pursue diverse careers across the special education spectrum, serving in public and private schools, clinics, treatment facilities, government agencies, and research organizations. Many also advance to doctoral studies or leadership roles in educational institutions and government bodies.
