The master's program in Childhood Special Education is designed for educators holding childhood (grades 1-6) or elementary (Pre-K-6) certification. Through rigorous coursework and practical training, participants gain expertise in evaluating, supporting, and teaching students with mild learning challenges, qualifying them for New York State certification as Special Education teachers for childhood levels. Graduates earn initial certification in Teaching Children with Disabilities during childhood years.
