The four-year certificate program offers students a structured curriculum focused on Animation & Visual Effects. Participants will build diverse skills and creative abilities, reflected in their portfolio work. Upon completion, graduates are equipped for careers in Animation & Visual Effects. The program includes elective options and art history classes to complement core studies. Unlike the BFA track, certificate students are not required to complete liberal arts courses.
Undergraduate participants will achieve these learning outcomes:
Visual Communication and Problem Solving
Implement design decisions that enhance storytelling, character development, and atmosphere
Conduct thorough research for inspiration, references, and accuracy, integrating results into creative solutions
Produce digital components/effects meeting project requirements
Show mastery of visual storytelling through sequential images
Display strong foundational skills in drawing/modeling: composition, perspective, proportions, and anatomy
Effectively portray movement and interaction of characters and objects
