Music research at York University spans diverse disciplines. Our experts cover historical, cultural and critical music studies, composition (both acoustic and electronic), performance (with emphasis on modern techniques and historically informed approaches), music theory, pedagogy, psychology and cognition, artificial intelligence in music, and emerging sound technologies.
