This program starts with a foundational year to build core competencies before advancing to the RIBA-accredited degree. It prepares students with the expertise required to thrive in diverse design professions, including the journey toward professional architecture. Course highlights Wolverhampton's BSc in Architecture delivers a distinctive learning approach rooted in design, technology, and scientific principles. We aim to inspire thoughtful design that enhances quality of life while reducing environmental impact. Design forms the core of our curriculum, supporting modules such as design studio, architectural history and theory, urban planning, building science, sustainability, structural engineering, construction methods, and professional standards. Significant focus is placed on grasping design contexts, material properties, and functional applications. Projects evolve in scope and sophistication, starting with human-scale designs in year one, expanding to urban-scale projects in year two, and culminating in comprehensive solutions by year three. This framework offers extensive architectural training, with a structured progression to help students transition from secondary education to becoming independent, self-directed learners in higher education. Our educational ethos celebrates diverse viewpoints that enrich collective understanding through analytical discourse and constructive dialogue; the school isn't defined by any single architectural style.
