The School of Life Sciences is housed in state-of-the-art laboratories located in central London, boasting top-tier facilities that enable pioneering research across various fields such as molecular and cellular biology, fermentation and biotechnology, as well as human health and performance.
The School has gained global recognition for its research contributions in areas including biopolymers and nanotechnology, obesity studies, cancer research, inflammation, human exercise physiology and aging, nutritional science and global public health initiatives, along with studies on social prescribing and resilience.
A diverse team comprising MSc and PhD candidates, post-doctoral researchers, technical support personnel, and faculty members collectively drive the School's research initiatives. These projects receive financial backing from both national and international grant organizations, as well as through collaborations with industry partners.
