Our Bachelor of Arts in Translation Studies with Honors equips you with the expertise, understanding, and capabilities to pursue a career in professional translation.

You'll acquire insights into language structure, style, textual features, and discourse by applying linguistic principles to real-world translation projects. Additionally, you'll develop adaptable thinking abilities crucial for continuous growth in both personal and professional spheres.

Based on your starting level, you can pair Spanish as your primary language with another (Arabic, Chinese, or French) or opt for the Global Communication pathway. The integrated program emphasizes professional contexts, communication techniques, bilingual translation proficiency, and theoretical foundations. Your coursework might involve enhancing skills in a new foreign language or exploring cultural studies modules. Instruction occurs through diverse methods including traditional lectures, interactive seminars, hands-on workshops, independent study guidance, and immersive professional simulations or actual workplace experiences.
