The Department of Psychology provides exceptional doctoral education and mentorship in Behavioral Science, Language and Learning, and Lifespan Health and Wellbeing. Guided by passionate faculty members, our MPhil/PhD candidates conduct innovative research in their specialized areas while completing customized training programs and professional growth initiatives.
Our Psychology MPhil/PhD program grants degrees based on original thesis research conducted under the supervision of typically two faculty members. In rare cases, we may accept students pursuing a PhD through Published Work.
Students begin as MPhil (PhD Track) candidates, with progression to full PhD status dependent on satisfactory performance, usually confirmed during the first annual review after 9-12 months (18-24 months for part-time students).
This MPhil/PhD program not only prepares graduates for academic research careers but also equips them for professional psychology roles (such as clinical, organizational, or educational psychology) or various industry positions as consultants and specialists.
Beyond discipline-specific expertise, our MPhil/PhD curriculum develops crucial transferable competencies including data analysis, information management, effective communication, collaborative work, and organizational skills.
