This Italian and Classics (BA) program allows you to explore both ancient civilizations and contemporary Italian culture. The Italian curriculum spans diverse topics from medieval times to today, covering literature, cinema, history, politics, and societal studies. Beginners can start learning Italian from scratch.
The program uniquely combines Classical studies with modern Italian perspectives.
Language studies progress alongside cultural modules, deepening your grasp of Italian linguistics, literary traditions, historical developments, and sociopolitical contexts.
For Classics, you may select Latin or Greek in your first year, with options to continue through advanced levels. The curriculum offers extensive modules on Greco-Roman civilizations and their global influences across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Typically, students spend their second or third year overseas to strengthen their academic and cultural immersion.
