A degree in modern languages provides you with valuable communication, research, analytical, and critical thinking abilities that employers highly value. Our Hispanic Studies with Film Studies (BA) program allows you to focus on Spanish language and Hispanic culture while dedicating 25% of your studies to Film Studies.
With approximately 400 million speakers worldwide, Spanish stands as one of the most significant languages for global business and cultural exchange.
Our program takes a fresh approach by integrating Spanish language learning with the exploration of diverse Hispanic cultures spanning Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, and even aspects of Hispanic history in Africa and the Pacific.
By pairing Hispanic Studies with film, you'll emerge as a skilled linguist with refined intercultural competencies, along with a strong understanding of visual storytelling, film culture, and cinematic techniques.
The program divides your time with 75% dedicated to Hispanic Studies and 25% to Film Studies. Typically, you'll spend either your second or third year abroad, strengthening and expanding your language skills.
