The four-year BA in Hebrew and Jewish Studies with a Year Abroad is designed to deepen students' understanding of Jewish culture through its languages, literature, and history. The third year takes place at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During the first year, students complete required courses in Modern Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew or Yiddish, along with an introductory Jewish Studies module, plus optional classes in history, literature, and culture to explore potential specialization areas.
In the second year, students continue with mandatory Modern Hebrew studies while selecting from diverse elective courses covering broad historical periods, regions, and academic disciplines like history, literature, linguistics, and political science.
