The Joint Honours in Film Studies offers comprehensive training in cinematic history and core theoretical frameworks, while allowing you to explore specialized interests alongside Middle Eastern history, politics, and culture. In Film Studies, you'll broaden your cinematic knowledge through structured courses and screenings featuring both classic and modern films from diverse global traditions. The program examines both mainstream and alternative cinema to deepen your appreciation of film history and contemporary discussions shaping the medium's evolution. This program focuses on scholarly approaches to film rather than hands-on production.
