Our doctoral program typically requires three to four years of full-time commitment. You'll undertake a carefully designed, mentored research journey culminating in a thesis that offers novel insights to your discipline, worthy of publication in top-tier peer-reviewed journals.
You'll receive guidance from two supervisors - one specializing in your subject area and another in research methodology. These mentors will support you throughout your PhD journey, from project conception to data analysis and thesis composition, with regular meetings scheduled every four to six weeks.
While the PhD program doesn't include conventional coursework, you'll access comprehensive support beyond supervision, including weekly research methodology training and career development sessions. Our research seminars provide a platform to present and discuss your work, and you can enroll in relevant MSc courses. Throughout the year, we offer workshops covering diverse topics like research presentation, information literacy, and professional skills development. Additionally, you can earn recognition as a Higher Education Academy Fellow by completing our Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching.
