Our interdisciplinary School of Literature and Languages brings together scholars specializing in English literature, film studies, translation studies, theoretical and applied linguistics, literary and cultural studies, and creative writing. Our research spans both critical analysis and creative practice in modern and contemporary literature, with particular focus on: Contemporary authors' works, The evolution and prospects of experimental literature, Environmental themes and climate crisis, Publishing as a transformative political act, The relationship between literature and the human body. This rich combination of disciplines fosters a dynamic intellectual environment full of collaborative possibilities.
Each student receives guidance from two supervisors who provide regular feedback on written work and ensure steady progress. We believe writing serves as a vital tool for insight and innovation, so you'll begin producing work immediately. During your first year, you'll develop your research proposal and outline with supervisory support. In subsequent years, you'll gain independence while receiving mentorship on conference presentations and publication strategies.
