In this program, you'll develop skills to prevent and manage illnesses as a certified dietitian, addressing the varied needs of patients, families, and caregivers across different healthcare environments. You'll explore how diseases can modify nutritional needs and food consumption, while learning to convert scientific knowledge about nutrition into actionable dietary guidance. This guidance may focus on promoting wellness among the general population or treating various medical conditions in clinical settings. During your initial two years, you'll cover diverse subjects to establish a strong knowledge base for your degree. Your first NHS clinical placement occurs after year one. Gain hands-on experience through three integrated NHS placements, working alongside licensed dietitians. Benefit from instructors recognized with the Queen's Anniversary Prize 2017-18 for their outstanding contributions to food and nutrition research.
