Our BEng and MEng programs are designed in collaboration with industry partners. You'll develop both technical expertise and analytical thinking to tackle practical engineering challenges, equipping you for rewarding careers in oil and gas, petrochemicals, or energy sectors. The course offers hands-on experience with our £1.7 million chemical engineering facility, featuring a fully functional pilot plant that you'll operate collaboratively in your third year. Additionally, you can participate in our acclaimed Professional Training placements, helping students transition smoothly into industrial roles.
Both the BEng and MEng degrees address contemporary industry needs, blending core chemical engineering principles with interdisciplinary design projects, specialized petrochemical studies, and sustainable practices. Instruction comes from award-winning faculty and seasoned industry professionals, providing foundational knowledge applicable to diverse global energy careers. You can enroll directly in either program, with the MEng offering an additional master's year as a faster path to chartered status. MEng students may collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects with peers from other engineering disciplines.
