The BSc (Hons) Audiology program equips you for a career as a healthcare science practitioner within NHS audiology services. You'll gain foundational theoretical knowledge while honing clinical competencies through workplace training, focusing on evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating patients with hearing and related conditions. The academic curriculum primarily uses online delivery, supplemented by mandatory one-week intensive sessions each semester at the University's City Campus. Alongside classroom learning, you'll undertake essential clinical placements totaling at least 50 weeks over three years in professional audiology settings. This National School of Healthcare Science-accredited program adheres to the Practitioner Training Programme standards. With strong industry demand for qualified professionals, graduates meet registration requirements with the Academy of Healthcare Science and can pursue careers in NHS audiology departments.
We would require successful completion of an Access to Higher Education course that is accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency. We would also require a minimum of grade C in GCSE in Mathematics and English Language or the equivalent as part of your course. If English is your second language, we require a minimum of IELTS 7.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 6.0 in each element.
