As a postgraduate researcher in Religious Studies at the University of Stirling, you'll collaborate with leading scholars engaged in critical analysis of religion's intersections with politics, gender, philosophy, economics, and other key areas. Our research critically examines the historical development and boundaries of the concept of religion while exploring the role of religious discourse – and discussions about religion – in modern societies. We foster a dynamic research community that actively encourages, appreciates, and nurtures PhD candidates.
Doctoral students in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities benefit from exclusive research resources and can participate in various seminars and workshops offered by specialized research centers and interdisciplinary collaborations. The program provides multiple training opportunities at university, faculty, and departmental levels, including subject-specific instruction through postgraduate research seminars and other academic gatherings.
