We partner with educational institutions and sports organizations to provide students with hands-on coaching and physical education experience. Our connections with professional teams such as Stoke City and Port Vale, combined with regional sports networks and local clubs, offer diverse opportunities for practical learning. The Physical Education and Sports Coaching program equips students with valuable skills for various career paths, including sports development, health and fitness, and coaching at both professional and community levels. Those interested in teaching will be well-prepared to pursue a PGCE after graduating. Additionally, through our Sports Academy, students can volunteer to lead physical activity programs for athletes, school groups, and the broader community. The first-year curriculum includes practical coaching modules focused on youth, competitive, and adaptive sports, alongside foundational sport science topics like performance psychology, movement analysis, and exercise physiology.
Career Paths
Our alumni frequently enter fields like youth sports programming, professional soccer coaching, athletic development, and wellness industries. They secure positions with prominent organizations including the Football Association and English Institute of Sport, while others pursue teaching careers in educational settings. Some graduates obtain specialized international roles.
